A lot of people don't know that I am a serious artist, probably because we usually identify people with the profession from which they make a living. Most people would probably more readily imagine me in front of a computer that in front of a canvas. There is a section in my resume, under 'Education/Skills' that reads "Internationally exhibited Visual Artist/Painter"; I often wonder what people imagine when they read it (assuming a human, not a search engine, actually reads my resume).
